これからはこのブログを
日本語で作成します。

暫く日本で住むつもりなので、
日本の友達用のブログが
欲しかったので。。
でも管理も難しいし、
多分プログラミング関係は
英語ブログで、他は
日本語のブログで
作成したほうがいいのかな。

まだ決まってないので悩みながら
迷いながら決めてみます。

ワードプレスは機能が多くていいですね。
びっくりしました。これからまた頑張ろう！

google chrome

i said i love ff before, but google chrome’s also cool! it’s way too fast. i tested it from some benchmark sites

=> it shows 8times faster result, but this isn’t reliable, because google make this benchmark

and other trivial benchmark shows that google’s v8 engine is more than 2 time faster than ff.

i feel very comfortable at chrome and its ui. i’m the guy who can irritate at just 0.5s delay. but there’s no plugin like foxytunes or even google mail and reader! i know simple is beautiful nature of chrome, but i’ll adhere ff for a while.

firefox3 and youtube problem

i didn’t like ff2 because it freezed every two hour. it was very painful experience. so i use maxthon and safari (in mac) instead. now ff3 is released and my love is only for ff3. so many useful widget and cool themes. i’m totally satisfied!

but there’s one big problem in ff3. you can’t see youtube in ff3. i don’t know what mozilla think. isn’t it critical enough to fix right-now?

anyway, you can fix this problem by unstalling flash player 9 and installing flash player 10 beta.

now ff3 works like charm! ff3 provides 1st class web experiences. i have to uninstall other browsers

P.S. right encoding add-on is not updated for ff3 yet, that’ll probably make ff3 perfect.

codeigniter, php mvc framework

i worked for sometime using codeigniter. this mvc framework is lightweight, simple and intuitive.

actually i compared every php framework for my new job. and codeigniter is the best solution. it supports native session, mvc, active record, enough security features.. just good..

at first, i planed to make my own framework, that may be faster than any other framework.. but it was very painful experience to start from nothing.. now i have a good frameworks to reference, i may try again someday

netvibes ginger

netvibes starts a new service(today, maybe), ginger. that’s just what i want for so long time.. you can publicitice your own contents in a very simple way.. this service changes project management drastically. i sure..

you may need to do some activation process.. it may not support like a friend only share feature.. if it supports that, it will be the perfect solution for business. but that’s enough now..

zoho offline editor

i was searching for some offline editors which can save data to online. only one candidate is zoho writer(do you know any other?) zoho uses google gears offline library. it doesn’t detect the browser’s state. so you have to change the state manually. and if you fail to change(i.e. you chage the state to online when disconnected), the browser goes blank. no menu for just synchronizing data that’s just what i want. UI is very clumsy, no way to hide buttons i may never use. I don’t want to see those unpleasant white borders.

but anyway it’s cool! i decide to move from google docs. now i can write some articles anywhere any time.

unforking of webkit and khtml

though i don’t like safari, it’s a great news. most people think good browser is only in pc. but the pmp, cell phone or many consumer electronics will get their own browser someday, and the total count of browser will be more than pc. so this is a good decision, desktop browser’s market is already taken by ms ie. and because it’s a game of monopoly, the share will not be changed so drastically. but embedded browser market is different. you can’t choose or complain or uninstall, in most case. now the time is coming soon, everybody have to learn ie is not the default browser for internet.

News 2.0 sucks!

news 2.0 is a korean style digg-like service. it wasn’t so famous when i registered first. few articles were uploaded, once in a week or so. recently it gains some reputations and 5 or 10 articles per day are uploaded now. i admit web2.0 is good, becacue it’s more interactive and fun. but news 2.0 is not the case. it doesn’t filter the contents and almost half of contents are filled with gabages now. i don’t want to know who’s boob is most great.. so i unsubscribed news 2.0 feed today.

the world goes more complicated way, and all new technologies are easily abused. and that’s the main obstacle of new-commers. if you can’t fight, you can’t take part in.

appfuse small tip

or just records for not to forget.

1. i change to use h2 as an embedded db rather than derby.. h2 is implemented more clear way(i think this is because of its predecessor, hsqldb) and supported in appfuse. it works fine for me with no error. so goodbye derby for a while~

2. sometimes you may get some mysterious compile errors when using ide. mvn updates libraries automatically but not ide’s setting at the same time. you have to update your ide setting by manually. like this mvn idea:idea

3. i think intellij idea is better than eclipse. especially annotation support.

4. i extend default user class, org.appfuse.model.User somewhat awkard way.. i made another User Class and set its table name as app_user. it seems that works right. but i can’t be sure about all operations..
