Kawaguchiko sits at the foot of Mt. Fuji. It’s one of the Fuji Five Lakes. This area is simply a tourist destination: you get a great view of Mt. Fuji, and there’s a big lake. Anyway, a whole bunch of tourist spots are packed into a really small area. With views this good, I suppose that’s only natural.
Autumn leaves like these
The colors of the leaves were really pretty.
The lake
It’s pretty big, and the view is nice too. I’ve climbed Mt. Fuji before, and from up on the mountain this lake looks small, but in reality it’s quite large.
Autumn leaves
Even if just for the autumn leaves, I think fall is a good time to visit Yamanashi.
Ishikorokan
Nothing special, just a shop selling gemstone-related goods.
Stones like these
There was quite a variety.
Items like these
Lots of cute things.
A place like this
It’s something like a gift shop, I guess.
Products like these
All sorts.
A view in nice weather
Well, I came because I heard they sell gemstones, but neither the prices nor the quality quite won me over. I just had a quick look around and left.
