I went on a trip to Yamanashi. The weather was really nice.

Shoji Mount Hotel

The reason I went to the hotel first wasn’t because I was staying there… it’s because this place is a famous drama filming location that everyone in the know knows about.

Honestly there’s nothing much around here, so there isn’t much point in staying the night. It’s just that the scenery is nice.

There’s even a sign explaining it. If you look closely, lots of cars had come to camp out front too. Kind of a Yuru Camp vibe…

It was hidden by clouds, but the scenery itself is pretty overwhelming. I didn’t know there was a spot with such a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji.

I could see a few cars people were sleeping in… Not sure about the hotel, but it seems like a great spot for car camping.

Apparently there are people who only photograph manhole covers…

Anyway, it was a nice place for the first stop of the trip. I got to look around the hotel and see Mt. Fuji too.
