I took a walk around the neighborhood over the weekend.

There are so many buildings.. but I guess that’s just what cities are like..

I hadn’t walked far at all when I came across a huge shopping mall. People were lining up to get in..

Sam’s Club

It turned out to be a members-only warehouse store like Costco. I don’t know much about it, but it’s part of the Walmart group, so apparently there are quite a few locations in the US. Anyway, the line of people trying to get into Sam’s Club with those giant carts was no joke, but I’m not a member and had no way of getting in.. Instead, there was a restaurant area nearby, so I looked around there.

They sell Häagen-Dazs too..

I thought, why are there so many restaurants? It was enormous..

With that many people coming to Sam’s Club, I guess they need at least this many restaurants..

This place was big and had lots of customers.. I looked around the whole area and this one seemed the best.

Somehow it didn’t quite look Korean..

The chain I saw at the airport is here too. It looked like business was going pretty well.

It seems every place has at least one of these.

Looks like a place serving Dongbei (northeastern Chinese) cuisine..

There was nothing behind the store.. Anyway, after doing a lap like this and getting a feel for the place, I picked somewhere to eat from among them.
