I heard that Naju gomtang chain Noanjip had opened a company-run branch in Gangdong, so I went to check it out.

It’s not downtown, but a bit out on the outskirts…

A pretty good spread for the price.

As you can see, it’s loaded with meat, and hanwoo (Korean beef) at that, so at this price it’s about as good as it gets. I enjoyed it, but toward the end the pepper heat started creeping up. They’ve pulled a fine broth from this much meat, so I don’t see the point of dumping this much pepper in. At the very least, they should let the customer decide about the pepper… Anyway, everything was great right up until the end, when I could barely finish it… I’d say only pepper lovers should go…
