Inside Cambodia I got around almost entirely by car. I couldn’t do any sightseeing, so instead I took photos from inside the car.

Weather

The weather felt like a tropical rainforest climate. When it is clear the sky is dazzling, but then a downpour suddenly comes pouring down.

A restaurant

It feels heavily influenced by China. There is a traditional language called Khmer with its own script, but English seems to get you by well enough. You can use dollars too, though the change comes back in Cambodian riel.

Apartments and the street

Development keeps going, so the new buildings are neat and tidy while the older buildings are still around.

The new buildings are barely any different from the ones in Seoul. Even a country like this has capital flowing in and things humming along.

No way… Korean companies seem to be pushing into this market as well.

There were gorgeous places like this too. If I had come as a tourist I think I would have stopped by.

Phnom Penh also has a river running through the city, like the Han River in Seoul. Around there, there are walking paths and it is a spot you can sightsee.

There are impressive buildings with high-end brands moving in as well.

I did not come as a tourist, so I do not know which places are the good tourist spots. Still, after going around once, I could feel that Phnom Penh is a place where tradition and modernity come together.
