Seohane Gimbap in Yongsan

Seohane Gimbap is a well-known spot, but their hours are short and I’d failed to catch them several times. This day I must have been extra lucky, because I just barely managed to buy some right at the end.

The parking lot

Seohane gimbab.

There’s still some undeveloped land left in Yongsan. Well, a spot like this will probably disappear soon too.

The other side of the parking lot

Seohane gimbab.

Leaving this here for the record.

Pie in the Shop

Seohane gimbab.

An apple pie specialty shop, and it seems to be doing well these days.

A place called Dirty Dough

Seohane gimbab.

The bread looked like it might be pretty good, but I’d already bought a lot of bread that day, so I held back.

The entrance

Seohane gimbab.

Looks like it has a bit of atmosphere…

Seohane Gimbap

Seohane gimbab.

It already feels like they’re half closed up…

The menu

Seohane gimbab.

I ordered the mugeunji (aged kimchi) gimbap.

Hand-rolled gimbap

Seohane gimbab.

A lot of places roll them by machine these days, but here they make them by hand.

Sliced up nicely…

Seohane gimbab.

A gimbap packed full of filling. No wonder it’s popular.

The break time notice

Seohane gimbab.

On Saturdays and holidays they’re open until the ingredients run out… but whenever I go, it’s often already closed.

The teppan okonomiyaki place next door

Seohane gimbab.

Feels like there’s a good-looking guy working there, and that makes it even more popular…

Hyeonseonine

Seohane gimbab.

So that famous Hyeonseonine was right around here… I never knew there were still places in Yongsan I didn’t know about.

Hyeonseonine

Seohane gimbab.

It has the aura of a place that’s doing well.

Gimbap

Seohane gimbab.

It was packed so full of filling that it was almost hard to eat. A gimbap place this good is bound to be popular…
