Nikka Frontier
A new whisky from Nikka, and the value for money is excellent. Tastes good for 2,000 yen.
Misokin rich miso ramen
A miso ramen produced by the famous YouTuber Hikakin. Loads of garlic in the miso plus a slightly fiery chilli oil, so it tastes good, but getting hold of it is not easy. Go to 7-Eleven at 10 in the morning and ask if they have any, and they will rummage around in the back and bring one out. It never goes on the shelf, so only people in the know get to eat it. I do wonder whether it is worth going to these lengths.. but somebody at home wants it.. and a head of the household has his responsibilities..
Koikeya Farm’s ultimate potato chip project, Shirogane Dandy
Apparently they used an original brand potato called Shirogane Dandy. These were thick cut and the green laver went well with them, so they were pretty good, but the other flavours in the series were nothing special.
Poroshiri, a variety developed for potato chips, nori salt butter flavour
There seem to be a lot of series like this lately, and these chips were not bad either.
Ma-Pi
Mala flavoured peanuts. I get a craving for this taste now and then, so I bought a pack. Quite hot and salty, that is the whole point of them.
Rummy
It is out again this winter, so I picked one up.
Kaki fry
They are in season now, but the oysters are still small. Oysters only plump up when the winter is cold, so I suspect this is more damage from global warming.
Cheese Dessert, framboise and lychee
This one was worth eating too.
Chamisul Chami Ball fresh + lemon
Ah.. seeing something like this come out means the Korean wave is still evolving, I suppose. But I drank plenty of soju back in Korea, so I do not particularly need any more..
