From the outside it looks like a temple, but it is actually a ramen shop. Imagine finding such a distinctive ramen place on a street lined with temples. The ramen is supposed to be good, too.

Macallan 18 for 52,000 yen. Ah, I really do not know what to make of that.

What a nice little alley for a drink. I suppose it only works because this is a well-off city.

The illustration was cute, so I took a photo.
Oden Umibozu
Coming to Shizuoka in person, I found there really are a lot of oden places, and a lot of people eating oden. It is much like gyoza being famous in Hamamatsu. In other words, this is not a manufactured trend.

This one was inside the station as well, and it is really well put together. Shizuoka really is the biggest city in the prefecture.
