Hamamatsu sits roughly in the middle of Japan, so interesting events are held here every now and then. The Mini Festival is one of those.
The vibe
It’s an event where Mini Cooper enthusiasts from all over the country gather in one place.
The Minis
Maybe because so many people had come from far away, a lot of them were already heading home. They have a long drive ahead of them, so I suppose that’s why.
The campsite
Modern Minis are awfully big for something called a Mini, and in that sense the classic Mini really does have its charm. Still, I had no idea there were this many classic Mini fans in Japan..
Cars heading home
Quite a sight. It also makes me wonder where they all got their paint jobs done.
The Minis
These cars are small and a pain to climb into, and the ride can’t be comfortable either.. There sure are a lot of people who bet everything on looking cool..
