Just posting a few things I picked up here and there.
Cooler Master laptop stand
The finish is good, but the structure was not what I had pictured.. Browse the Chinese shopping sites and there are truly countless laptop stands, but it is hard to tell which ones are actually any good. You use one for a long time once you buy it, so I want a good one, and that is exactly why it would be nice if a well-known brand took responsibility and made a proper stand.. Even so, finding one that really suits me is not easy..
Takoyaki
Takoyaki in Korea tastes a little different from the Japanese version. The outside tends to be crisper, which gives it a flavour of its own. That must be why people here like it so much. It is fascinating to watch a food like takoyaki cross the sea and evolve.
Yokan (Japanese sweet red bean jelly)
I bought it because it is an easy-to-eat yokan, and it tastes like yokan.
Milk Classic rice snacks
I bought them because they are tasty, and the flavour does seem good.
Spirits from Baekkyung Distillery
This distillery really does seem to make good spirits. I hope they keep doing well.
Kobae ga Hoihoi, a Japanese fruit fly trap
It is a product for catching fruit flies: a sour smell wafts up to draw them in, and once they land they cannot get back out. It works almost too well (apparently one unit lasts a month..), but the flies stay right there inside it, so I could not photograph it in use.
Kadayif pistachio chocolate
The so-called Dubai chocolate turned up at Daiso, so I bought one, and it is pretty good. For the price the taste is more than fine. It is popular, though, so getting hold of one is not that easy..
Battery level tester
I bought this one on Temu and it is handy. I had always wondered how much charge a battery had left, and it turns out there is a simple little device this convenient that is hard to break, too. It is nice to have one at home.
