Lamotta, a Pizza Place in Sinsa

Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong gets fewer visitors than it used to these days, and more shops have closed because of it, but I heard a new pizza place had opened, so I went to have a look.

The place

The colors are bold. It’s a pretty big place, too.

The menu

Drinks

You grab one yourself and then order. Takeout is the default, and there’s space outside where you can eat, too.

Tables like these

The oven inside

They’ve done a really nice job with it.

Sparkling water

I’ve been into fizzy stuff lately.

Yeolmu (young radish greens) pizza

I ordered this one because I heard it was the popular pick, and it tastes like yeolmu crossed with bulgogi? An unusual flavor, and it does feel like a new take on Korean food, but.. I have a feeling the margherita here would be good as well. For a first order, a regular pizza might have been the better call.

Water

Anyway, a new place opening on Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong is a great thing, and I hope it does well from here on. There’s a similar pizza place in Yongsan that seems to be doing fine too, and if good pizza places keep multiplying like this, that’s nothing but good news for me.
