L’inconnu in Apgujeong

A place called L’inconnu in Apgujeong kept showing up on Threads lately, so I finally went. I used to go to L’inconnu itself a long time ago, back when it was near Garosu-gil, but it has since moved to Apgujeong and reopened as a dedicated ice cream shop.

Standard Bread

It was on the way, so I stopped in.

Nice atmosphere, but for some reason nothing really grabbed me. Probably just a matter of personal taste.

L’inconnu

Very tidy.

Inside

Fruit sorbet

I ordered the watermelon and the banana pudding, but when I tasted it, it came out tasting like rum raisin.. The ice cream itself is good, with a strong fruit flavour, but I never know what I am supposed to do when what arrives isn’t what I ordered..

Tropical Sundae

The meringue in the middle of this one was so hard that breaking it up with a spoon was a real struggle. The ice cream is delicious, but something about the service felt off. For a place like this, maybe the answer is to buy a few good flavours and take them home.. assuming it doesn’t go under before then..

A place I spotted while walking

There is so much curious stuff around Apgujeong Rodeo these days that wandering around has got more fun.
