A pencil you never have to sharpen

I found this curious thing and bought one. It is supposedly a pencil you never need to sharpen, and using it, the line is a bit faint but it does not smudge much and it works pretty well. On some papers it barely writes at all, though, and the feel of it is not that great either. Anyway, you can erase it with an eraser, so it seems handy for when you have to use a pencil.

Kavalan Gin & Tonic

This one is good. The Kavalan series has been pretty solid across the board, I think.

Maruchan Seimen Nibotama

Rich niboshi (dried baby sardine) broth with a big load of onion, and that is where “nibotama” comes from, apparently.

Made up, it looks like this.

Tasting it, it is at a level not far off a dedicated niboshi ramen shop.. no, I even felt it might be better. Normally, if you dump in a lot of niboshi the broth can turn bitter, but the sweetness of the onion balances that out nicely.. the noodles are above cup-noodle grade too, and I think this is one I need to stock up on.

Yamagata Ryushanhai

A karamiso ramen with a broth that has a slightly stew-like feel to it. I ate it happily enough.

Kavalan Highball Whisky Soda

This one was decent too. When a new one in the series shows up, I think I have to make a point of drinking it.

French Cup Noodle

It is meant to be a lobster bisque flavour, and.. hmm, the harder they pushed the French angle, the further it drifted from the taste of an ordinary ramen.. it is more like a separate food that is not ramen..

Scallop butter, Kobe beef

Good with a drink. The Kobe beef was tastier than I expected.

Oi Ocha

Ohtani, whom you can see absolutely everywhere these days.

Summer-harvest potato chips

Decent enough.

Ume Wasabeef

They call it Wasabeef, but it is not a wasabi flavour, it is a sour one, and it was decent enough.

Takara Shochu Highball

It is the Iwashita new-ginger version, and since I like the taste of ginger I picked one up; it was drinkable enough.

Tokachi Brandy Highball

A highball made with wine from the Tokachi region of Hokkaido, and this one was drinkable enough too. The world is wide and there are a lot of kinds of booze out there.
