I heard there was an American-style burger joint in Seongsu-dong, so I went to check it out.

Bored & Hungry

As you can probably tell, it’s a burger place built on the IP of Bored Ape Yacht Club, the famous NFT project. From what I hear, the original California location has closed, so Korea is now the only place you can eat one.

Sesame shake

There is sesame oil in it, but it doesn’t play all that big a role; the salted caramel and nutty notes came through strong and it was good

The patty was thick and rich, and I thought, ah, so this is the American taste.. That said, the beef patty felt a little buried, so next time I’ll probably just get the shrimp patty. The french fries were good too.

It’s packed absolutely full. Feels like knocking out a whole day’s calories in one go.

The counter

They commit to the concept. Though with the NFT world dying down these days, I’m not sure how this place will hold up. It’ll be a while before the next boom comes around, so I hope they can hang in there until then.
