A Trip Around Hamakita, Shizuoka

Just putting up some photos I took along the way.

A DVD shop

Hamakita tour.

So places like this exist out here too..

The expressway

Hamakita tour.

Vending machines

Hamakita tour.

There’s even a ramen and gyoza vending machine..

A Chinese restaurant

Hamakita tour.

You get places like this out in the provinces too.. apparently they even serve jajamen, noodles in a savory bean-paste sauce.

Misono Chuo Park

Hamakita tour.

A nice quiet park.

The park

Hamakita tour.

A hotel

Hamakita tour.

An Evangelion train

Hamakita tour.

Wait, why here of all places..

Menya Amore

Hamakita tour.

They say this place is famous too, so I should stop by next time.

Apita

Hamakita tour.

Driving around, a big supermarket turns up at regular intervals.

Cremia soft serve

Hamakita tour.

They had it, so I ordered one, but I can’t handle ice cream this rich in fat any more.

ZERO no Shokupan

Hamakita tour.

A shokupan (milk bread) shop with a bit of impact. The “zero” seems to be because it’s additive-free.

A vending machine you can pay for with PayPay

Hamakita tour.

We’ve reached an age where you can buy from a vending machine without a single coin on you.

Pan-ya Buono

Hamakita tour.

I stopped in as I was passing.

A bakery like this

Hamakita tour.

It looked pretty good.

Fruit Shop Ebisuya

Hamakita tour.

Fruit sando

Hamakita tour.

I tried one. The taste is fine, but not enough to come all this way for.

Inside

Hamakita tour.

A kindergarten

Hamakita tour.

The illustration is cute.

Unamaru, an unagi restaurant I spotted while passing

Hamakita tour.

It’s a quiet spot, but this one place was overflowing with cars.

A crane

Hamakita tour.

A house

Hamakita tour.

Beautifully done up.

A shrine

Hamakita tour.

Quite a big one.

A ramen shop

Hamakita tour.

This one is famous too, but it looked like they had already closed for the day.

Aeon Mall

Hamakita tour.

The Aeon Mall in Hamakita really is huge. It must be because this area is the center of Hamamatsu.

Sunset

Hamakita tour.

A bar I spotted while passing

Hamakita tour.

Plenty of people inside.

Gattsuriken, a Jiro-style ramen shop

Hamakita tour.

So Hamamatsu has a Jiro-style place too, the Ramen Jiro school with its mountains of beansprouts and garlic. I’m curious, I’d like to go one day.
