I’d heard good things about a tonkatsu specialty shop in Seocho called Daejjang Tonkatsu, so I paid a visit.

There was an off-taste to it and the oil was below expectations, so with tonkatsu at this level there’s really no need to go out of your way for it.. I can’t help feeling that the standard of tonkatsu Koreans rate as good is bound to fall short of the standard of a basic tonkatsu in Japan.
