Came out to Gapyeong for the day. Eating first makes it easier to move around afterwards, so I punched the restaurant into the nav and headed straight there.
The pizza place
It’s a pretty sizeable place.
Inside
They said it would still be a while before they opened, so we stepped back out. There was a campground nearby, so we moved over to its parking lot.
A derelict building on the way..
Once it gets to this state you’d have to knock it all down and build it again..
The river
The river
We killed some time and then came back.
Inside
It’s seriously spacious.
Salad
The portions seem to come out on the generous side.
Margherita pizza
The pizza has fewer wood-fired-oven characteristics than I expected.
Hawaiian pizza
They clearly use plenty of toppings, but it’s a bit of a stretch to call this a wood-fired pizza.
White cheese carbonara
The pasta was textbook Korean-style pasta. Come to think of it, the pizza seems like textbook Korean-style pizza too.
Rosé Toowoomba
Glad they used big shrimp.
Seafood ttukbaegi pasta
This one is a little spicy, but it felt like it would be good for a hangover. Very Korean, I suppose..
Gorgonzola pizza
Overall it was safe enough that you could find a similar taste anywhere in Seoul.. I don’t think it’s worth travelling out here specially to eat it.
