A place called the Ramyun Library has opened in Hongdae, so I went to check it out.

There are surprisingly a lot of people here. Or maybe that’s not surprising at all..

My actual reason for going was to buy the kinds of ramyun that regular supermarkets don’t sell as single packs.. but there aren’t as many rare ramyun on the shelves as I expected. I suppose that’s because at the end of the day this is a convenience store.. There’s plenty of ramyun by volume, but the range of varieties isn’t as wide as I’d imagined.. Anyway, they did have Pulmuone ramyun, which is hard to come across normally, so I picked some up.. I think that if a rival Ramyun Library opens and buying single packs gets even easier, it would be much easier for people living alone to sample different ramyun.
