The Hyundai pop-up in Yeouido

Maybe The Hyundai got a nudge from Shinsegae, because they were running a dessert pop-up of their own. Then again, maybe they always did this. Either way, plenty of shops I know from Instagram had a booth, so I went along.

I’m Pine, Thank You tastes a lot like Taiwanese pineapple cake, and it’s very well made. A sweet where the pineapple flavour really comes through.

They bill themselves as an apple pie specialist so I had high hopes, but, hmm.. this one was a bit.. Apple pie is supposed to have tartness at its heart, and this tasted like they’d used apples with no tartness at all..

There are plenty of places that do dessert well, but these days I’m not chasing them down with that much passion.. I have to look after my health too, after all..
