Yaksu Sundaeguk.. Looks like they’ve moved somewhere new, and the line is long.. Though these days it seems to be like that everywhere..
Pigments in Yaksu
It’s a bakery, and word must have got around that it’s good, because if you go late there’s no bread left. Also, something I only found out later: this place and Dough Society apparently have the same owner. Some people just have a sense for business..
When the bread comes out
It runs from 8 to 11, so you have to get up early in the morning.
Samarkand
I’d love to work my way through the good restaurants in Dongdaemun too, but that’s hard to do on my own.
Russian Cakes
Turns out this place is a popular one too..
Dongbuk Hwagwawang
It’s a popular Chinese restaurant in Dongdaemun, but here too it’s hard to recruit a raiding party to come along..
Dongdaemun scenes
Eomeoni Daeseongjip
This place really does seem to keep going.
Minari Hof
I’d like to give this place a try as well, but I still haven’t made it..
Cheongnyangni
It’s completely changed. People have plenty to say about this neighbourhood, but that doesn’t make it cheap.. so I think I can leave it alone for a while.
Gyeongdong Market
Word is there are lots of good spots here, but I was busy so I just walked on past.
Sky
Namyeong-dong
Eun Sung Steak
Apparently there’s a famous budae jjigae place in Namyeong-dong
Teolbo
It’s impressive that a tradition just keeps going like this.
Yeouido scenes
The Glenlivet 18
Well now, I never expected an ad like this right in the middle of Yeouido..
Five Guys
One opened in Yeouido too.. I’m not sure whether it was lucky that I rushed over and ate at one when they first opened, or what..
Han River scenes
Welcome MintChoco World
A bakery specialising in mint choc has opened in Yeonnam-dong.
Migratory birds
Yeouido
Nammun Market
Here too I saw a lot of Chinese.
Jinyeong Myeonok
I hit their break time, so I didn’t get to eat that day.
Seoul scenes
There are plenty of places worth walking to.
