I had heard rumors that there was a good haejangguk place in Dongdaemun, but I never had a reason to go all the way out to Dongdaemun for a drink, so I have only just made it there.
It is in an alley like this.
Honestly, unless you are deliberately looking for it, it sits in a spot that is not easy to notice while walking past.

Inside was pretty spacious.

I really liked that you can pile in as much green onion as you want. It is the kind of place middle-aged guys would love.
Seonji haejangguk
It is a similar style to Yongmun Haejangguk, and with the good flavor, all that meat and the generous serving, I liked it a lot.

The prices are reasonable too. To think a gem like this existed in Dongdaemun.. (Eomeoni Daeseongjip is nearby, admittedly..) Next time I will have to come back after a few drinks.
