A summer 2023 outing to Centrair x Lazy Blog.

I go in and out of Chubu Centrair Airport in Nagoya really often, but wandering around this time I found a spot I did not know about.

FLIGHT PARK

It is near Terminal 2, and even though it had not opened yet people were already lining up. Look inside and there is an actual plane.

Turns out there are some pretty decent places to eat.

A Hokkaido fair

Hokkaido fairs are usually held at department stores, but they do them at the airport too. Honestly it is even more boring when there is no event on, so I was glad one was running.

I am flying international, so even when there was something worth buying, actually buying it was awkward.

Maybe because I got there early, this place had not opened yet.

Fujinomiya yakisoba

It is a yakisoba defined by its thick noodles, packed with vegetables too, and with the yolk of the fried egg mingling into the noodles it made for a tasty breakfast.

Hokkaido shaved ice

They were making it right there inside.

Strawberry milk & melon shaved ice

The strawberries come in whole chunks you can bite into, and the Hokkaido milk flavor is rich too. I never expected to eat good shaved ice at an airport.
