Just putting up a bunch of photos.
Gateau Raisin
It’s the budget version of a raisin sandwich, cheap enough and good as a snack. It’s not on a level where you’d compare it to a real raisin sandwich, though.
Choco Pie Premium Shine Muscat Tart
Not great. Way too sweet.
Ginbis Asparagus Biscuits
Surprisingly delicious. I don’t know if anyone remembers a Korean cookie called Sarubia, but it’s similar to that, crisp and nutty like hardtack. It would go well with a drink, too. Maybe this is the taste of the original.
Sozai ga Oishii Satsumaimo (sweet potato chips)
They’re just sweet potatoes sliced and fried, but they were decent enough. I found out later that the really good sweet potato chips come out as a winter limited edition.
Kanjukuo Banana Chips Choco
This one wasn’t great.
Usukawa Blueberry Jam & Milk Cream Buns
Pretty ordinary, I think.
Kore Zettai Umai Yatsu
It’s a miso ramen, and I think I probably bought it because of the manga Ramen Saiyuki. This one was ordinary too.
Jjawang
Bought it because it was nice to run into an old friend. A lot of Korean food products have made their way into Japan.
Megami
They’ve really nailed iekei ramen with this one.
The finished bowl
Ultra-thick noodles that need a full seven minutes of boiling, plus a tonkotsu shoyu broth, so the flavor is genuinely rich, not much different from what you’d get at a shop.
Financier and lemon cake from kamoshi
I bought them as a gift, and they’re not like the usual versions. The financier keeps its moistness all the way through and has a richness almost like cheese. The lemon cake is rich too, with a jolt of sourness sharp enough to snap your eyes open. Keeping flavor like that for several weeks seems pretty impressive to me. And the clip with a coffee bean on it was cute.
Bourbon Pistachio Rush
Really rich pistachio chocolate with whole pistachios studded all through it, so there was no way it could taste bad.
Mascarpone Cheese Tara
Ate it as a snack with drinks and it was good.
miino
Fried soybeans, good with a drink.
Usukawa Peanut Buns
Filing this one under tasty. Among the Usukawa buns, the only one whose flavor felt iffy was probably the yogurt one.
