There is an area of Hamamatsu called Sanaru. It has a lake that formed naturally, and that lake is called Lake Sanaru. It is not all that far from central Hamamatsu, and since there is a park laid out around the water, apparently a lot of the town’s well-off people live around here. Lakes and rivers seem to be popular wherever you go.
A park like this
It looks reasonably well kept.
The park
The clock tower
A sign telling you to drive slowly
It looks like cars come all the way in here. It is a narrow road, but there was a parking lot too.
A cram school building
I had heard there was a famous dessert shop somewhere near Lake Sanaru, so I took this on my way there. This looks like a well-off neighborhood, and the cram school is out here rather than in central Hamamatsu..
A radio tower
No idea what it is, but there it is.
Sold out for today
I knew the place I had originally planned to visit was famous, but it had sold out and I could not even get in the door. Lining up just to eat..
The park
The park facilities were nice.
Yamamoto Pan-ya
It is a bakery, but I got there late so there was not much left.
Houses
Scenery
It really does feel like a place where people with money live.
Yakiniku-ya
There is a rather stylish-looking place here.
Bonbonniere
There is a cake shop.
A gyoza shop
There are all sorts of good places to eat around the lake.
Scenery
Scenery
Chopin
A bakery by the lake.
The breads
Pretty ordinary, honestly. Which is probably why they were still here at this hour. The famous spots seem to be done by around midday.
The breads
The breads
The labels
Scenery
It was a nice neighborhood.
