I was walking down the street when an intriguing shop name caught my eye, so I went in.
3-Day Aged Hanwoo Gukbap
Apparently it’s a place that’s been on TV.. honestly, I don’t put much stock in that sort of thing.. but then again, if they’re using hanwoo and aging it for three days, there’s no way it could taste bad, right..
The cauldron
Inside
Judging by how many people were in there in the middle of the day, it really is popular.
To the question of whether it’s genuinely Grade 1..
the answer is that they can do it because they own the building. That’s pretty convincing.. and they already had a branch in Gangnam.
Gukbap to go
This is what’s inside
These days even sundae gukbap runs 10,000 won, so hanwoo gukbap with this much meat in it for 11,000 won really is a bargain. That said, if you’re going to eat hanwoo gukbap anyway, spending a few thousand more wouldn’t change much, would it.. I’d recommend it highly on value for money, but if you had to travel a long way to get there, I’m not sure it’s worth the trip.
