Eomuimat Yangpyeong Haejangguk in Yangpyeong

I ride all the way out to Yangpyeong, getting some exercise in at the same time. Following the Han River the road isn’t rough, but it comes to about 120 km round trip.

They’re putting up apartment towers even out here.. Anyway, the Yangpyeong haejangguk place you spot the moment you roll into Yangpyeong on a bike is Eomuimat Yangpyeong Haejangguk. Just looking at it, the logo could pass for the PlayStation buttons.

The basics are well covered.

Inside

It was past mealtime and the place is pretty big, yet more than half of it was full. Customers kept coming in, too.

Haenaetang (haejangguk plus offal)

Eomuimat yapyeong haejangkuk

A generous bowl. From a quick look around, everyone was ordering the haenaetang.

Offal

Eomuimat yapyeong haejangkuk

Packed with neatly cleaned offal. A bowl with nothing missing from it, really.

This place charges extra if you get it to go.

On the way back

I’ve had my bowl, so time to head home..

It ended up being night by the time I got back. Anyway, as long as my legs hold out I plan to keep up this two-birds-with-one-stone routine — looking after my health and stopping by a good restaurant on the same trip.
