There’s a boat racing venue in Hamamatsu, and when you go on a weekend it’s packed.

It’s a kids’ play space run in collaboration with Bornelund, and it’s pretty much free. Bornelund is a brand you can trust. It had exactly the kind of atmosphere kids would love.

The staff here have serious stamina.. they just kept playing with the kids the whole time.. from a parent’s point of view you couldn’t ask for better..

It was my first time watching boat racing, and it really is something. You’d think boats would perform much the same as one another, compared to horses or bicycles, but there’s still a big gap between them.

Nothing special, but when it’s sitting right there you end up ordering something..

They’ve put the place together pretty well, so even if you know nothing about boat racing it’s a nice spot to come and hang out on a weekend. And if you keep coming every weekend like this, you’ll probably end up taking an interest in the racing. A win-win for both sides, I’d say.
