The tangy chogochujang was what really did it for me. The ingredients in makhoe aren’t anything fancy to begin with, so as long as it’s fresh it all tastes good, but this sauce levels the whole thing up. And since they serve the chogochujang on the side, you can dial the heat up or down yourself.

It was all delicious, and the popularity is well deserved. Next time I get the chance, though, I’d like to order it as takeout.
