Super Duper is that burger place everyone knows from San Francisco. When people here go to the US on IT-related business trips they usually end up in San Francisco, where all the startups are, and I remember a lot of them eating at Super Duper. I may never make it to the Google or Apple headquarters myself, but I figured that if I could at least eat a Super Duper burger I would feel like a bit of an IT insider, so my expectations were high..
This kind of vibe
Advertising like this before the place is even finished seems like a pretty good move.
Partway through, they swapped the signage for this.
Nicely done.
Opening-day queue
The line is long, which figures for a burger place this eagerly awaited.
Inside
They have really put it together well.
Got it to go..
Very well put together.
The burger
Close-up
I meant to order a double, but I messed up on the kiosk and ended up with a single.. Choosing the takeout option is subtly fiddly too.. These kiosks are not easy to use.. Anyway, the burger itself was tasty, and I had no complaints about the price or the portion either. Some people say it tastes different from the San Francisco original!.. but honestly I think this is plenty good. It does not look like it will be going under any time soon, so I will take my time and head back again.
