Namsanteo.. probably a budae jjigae franchise that started somewhere around Apgujeong. One opened near me, so I went to check it out.

Honestly, I am not sure bacon and budae jjigae go together. And it turns out they do not sell the homemade bacon budae jjigae for takeout anyway..

They give you exactly as much broth as you need, no more.
Budae jjigae
The broth has a sharp kick to it, with cheese added to round it out, and plenty of different ingredients went in.. Compared with Daewoo Sikdang, it feels like a present-day budae jjigae. Times change and new flavors come along, I suppose.
