Apparently they have been in business since 1888.. the history really does run deep. O to U is right nearby too, so this day I just looked around.

Their desserts are famous here as well, and they feel like the sort of thing you would find sold as a souvenir at the airport.

This is said to be their signature, though it looks pretty plain from the outside.. but someone who had tried it said it was delicious, so I bought a box.

What’s inside

They are chocolates packed with rum, so they taste wonderful. I never expected a dessert created some 80 years ago to still be this good. They are big, too, so the value is excellent. This time I went around Yokohama’s traditional dessert shops, and I was surprised at how high the level was. Had I known there were this many great dessert places, I would have done a bit more research before going. (Speaking of Yokohama, Marlowe comes to mind as well..)
