Just putting these up, roughly.
Daejeon-style tofu duruchigi..
Calling it Daejeon-style didn’t really amount to anything..
Tofu noodles
My staple these days. I’m on a diet, so I’m eating tofu instead of rice.
Tofu sundae
So-so..
Sausage budae jjigae
I’m not happy with the sausage content. You have to customise it to make it worth eating.
Striploin steak jerky
It was tasty, so I bought it several times.
Craft Curry Sauce
I can’t see how it beats three-minute curry..
Piyangok onban
It costs a bit, but it was decent.
Rainier cherries
I bought these at Emart rather than Costco, and they didn’t taste like the real thing.. -_- Seems the moment something gets popular, the knock-offs show up..
Yanggu melon
Ripen it properly and it’s delicious.
Poggi kimchi
This one was so-so too..
Jeju black pork ham
It costs a bit, but it seems better than Spam. No real need to cling to Spam any more.. Though processed meat being the pricier option is a bit much..
Campbell’s clam chowder soup
I love it so much that I bought a whole pack. Living alone I never have a reason to go to Costco, but sometimes you need something like this..
Yangpyeong haejangguk
The broth is good, but for what’s in it you’re far better off eating at the shop
Black Mango watermelon
It’s the yellow-fleshed kind, a good size for a one-person household. Buy one, cut it into small portions and eat it over a few days. Anything bigger than this and it gets hard to finish on your own..
Gogiri perilla oil makguksu
It’s famous so I tried it, and the taste is good.. but it wasn’t that Gogiri flavour..
Gopchang jeongol..
So-so..
Perilla oil pressed at the mill
Using this oil in perilla oil makguksu really makes the flavour come alive. The way I see it, perilla oil makguksu is 80% the perilla oil..
Frozen broccoli
These were fairly cheap. You should always have frozen broccoli in the fridge.
Cold-pressed perilla seed cake
I got this thrown in when I bought cold-pressed perilla oil, and putting it into all sorts of dishes — perilla seed seaweed soup and the rest — turns out delicious. Searching on Naver, there are quite a few places selling cold-pressed perilla oil. I ordered from one of the top-ranked ones, and makguksu made with that oil is a heavenly taste.
