I finally went to Katsumoto, the ramen shop I’d been saving for later at Toranomon Hills.
Toranomon Hills and the Business Tower
Toranomon Hills is business-first, so even when it’s packed during the day there’s nobody around at night. The ramen shop has a line at lunchtime, but in the evening it was nothing like that.
Arrived
Guys on their way home from work stopping in for a bowl… this is, well… 100% middle-aged men. For the record, the ayu ramen place had more women customers… no idea why the difference.

Chuka soba
A proper shoyu ramen, and both the noodles and the broth were top tier. Getting into a shop this good with no line feels almost criminal… if it were in Ginza you’d be waiting 30 minutes minimum.

I’d love to go back, but I hear this branch has closed. The main shop is still around, though, so if I want another bowl I’ll just have to go there…

Dropped in again. Convenience stores really do get more interesting the bigger they are.
