A place called Hyejangguk has opened in Sinnonhyeon. It is near my office, so I end up dropping by every now and then.

It is an old menu, so I suspect things are a bit different these days. The tables are not spaced all that far apart, so I do not really feel like drinking at this place.. what with the covid situation and all. Going by the blogs, though, everyone does say the suyuk (boiled beef) is good..

This.. somehow tasted less like haejangguk and more like beef and radish soup. Not that it was bad.. it really was a soup where the rich flavor of the hanwoo came through. It is near the office anyway, so I will probably end up eating it regularly, and 10,000 won for something with hanwoo in it is not expensive.. though I do think it will be a love-it-or-hate-it thing..
