Onsen Tendon, the Incheon shop made famous by the TV show Alley Restaurant, has been opening more branches and has now made it all the way to Gangnam Station.

The concept is a little different from tendon in Japan — over there, tempura and tendon are clearly separate things, while Korean-style tendon sits somewhere in between, I suppose. I get the feeling they are trying to present it as something a bit more upscale, but either way it tasted pretty good. The onsen tamago was tasty too. I’d call it a reasonable bit of localization.

It’s a chain and I haven’t been to the original branch, but even this is a good choice when you need a meal near Gangnam Station.
