I went out and wandered around while the weather was nice. Staying shut in at home just because of covid is no good for your health.
The goal was Namhansanseong, but first I took a Ttareungi bike as far as Wirye.

Turns out Wirye is part of Seoul. And I got the feeling it will not be easy for that shopping street to thrive.. there is a Starfield Wirye right there, after all.

One thing I had wrong: the official entrance to Namhansanseong is not easy to reach from Wirye. There is a mountain path up from Wirye, but the road to the entrance is closed off for construction, so you have to go the long way around. On the map it looks like it is right next door, and still.. oh well.. anyway, I somehow found my way around.

Old-style bingsu
I went into a cafe and ordered bingsu, Korean shaved ice, and it was terribly bad. Well.. lesson learned. Never order anything with “old-style” in the name..
