Mitsumura is a well-known tendon and kakiage place in Toranomon. Yukimura in Hamamatsucho is its sister shop.
The entrance
You can feel the history here. The mood is more casual than at Yukimura.
Decoration on the stairs
A turtle out of nowhere… and yet it somehow fits.
Kakiage-don
Packed with plump, springy shrimp – that is what makes Mitsumura Mitsumura.
Close-up
The sauce is a little different from Yukimura’s, but the taste is similar. Slightly thicker and richer, maybe. Going by looks alone, you could say Yukimura wins. And it is 100 yen cheaper, too.
Green tea and pickles
It lives up to its reputation. That said, the taste is almost identical to Yukimura’s, so there is probably no need to come all this way for it.
