Cheung Kee Prawn Noodles in Cheongdam-dong

Cheung Kee Noodle House has changed its name to Cheung Kee Prawn Noodles. It looks like they’ve switched their main menu over to Singapore-style prawn noodles. I liked the egg noodles too, but I suppose trends are trends. Well.. a new menu is what finally got me back here after a while..

The sign has changed.

The prawns are front and center now.

Drinks first, noodles after..

Fried prawn wontons

Crispy and delicious. A must-order. Ordering five left me wanting a little more.. but eight would probably fill me up, so that’s how it goes..

Prawn noodles

This is the soup type. There are two kinds of noodles and plenty of toppings, so it’s fun to work through. That said, the prawn broth does feel a bit watered down.

Dry noodles

With only a little sauce pooled at the bottom, I think it’s easier to taste the prawn. The toppings are generous here too, and it’s good. It looks a lot like Japanese tsukemen, but the noodles don’t have that strong chew. That’ll be the Singapore style.

It comes with a bowl of soup, too.

You can just drink it in place of rice, but it also goes well with a drink.

Choy sum, I think it was..

Another good meal~
