Asterisque is a well-known cake shop. Its main store is in Yoyogi-Uehara, not far from Yoyogi-Hachiman, so I dropped by. To be honest, the real target that day was a bakery, but I couldn’t get any bread there…

I bought this at a place called Michalak in Omotesando, a dessert shop that flew in from France with a modern design. Well… at a shop of this level the taste can’t be bad, but I couldn’t quite pin down what made it distinctive. I also had the feeling the design isn’t really my thing…
