Niku no Iroha is a yakiniku place near my home.. You can walk in without a reservation, so I dropped by on a day I had some free time..
Highball
Got to start with a drink..
Niku no Himalaya (the Meat Himalaya)
Not ordering this one this time.. the portion is just too big..
Namul
Meat
Pretty standard stuff.. I’ve been eating too much really good meat lately..
Niku no Himalaya
Fun name, isn’t it.. and this is the smallest size.
Grill it right and it comes out like this.
It really is a lot of meat. The taste, though, is just so-so..
Salad
Got to order one of these..
Kalbi
Delicious.
Meat..
Solid overall, and the prices aren’t that high either.
Horumon, shipped straight from the market
It sounded like something special, so I gave it a try. The market must be the Shinagawa meat market, and since it’s nearby, there’s probably some connection.
Nicely grilled..
And this was seriously, ridiculously good. Well-grilled horumon has a rich, almost chocolatey flavour, and the horumon here was right at that level. Who knew it could taste like this at such a reasonable price..
Naengmyeon
Decent. The horumon was so good that I’ll simply have to come back. I felt the power of straight-from-the-market.
