Park Chan-suk Sundaeguk bills itself as a Hongdae favorite with 50 years of tradition. Though a Hongdae favorite from back then and a Hongdae favorite today are probably two rather different things. Anyway, it’s a fair walk from Obok and the sundae style is clearly different, so I don’t think they’re direct competitors.

Menu
We’d already done round one elsewhere, so from this place I got takeout.
Special sundaeguk and sundae
Generous portions and a clean taste. It lives up to its name as a famous spot.
Sundae
I’m usually an abai sundae person and don’t eat much glass-noodle sundae, but this place’s sundae has real charm. It’s cheap, too. The world is a big place, and there really are shops that turn glass-noodle sundae into an art form.
