Since I’m on my noodle pilgrimage.. I went to a new-generation naengmyeon place in Yeonnam-dong.
Bulgogi bibim-myeon..
Hmm.. before I even get to the taste, the bulgogi was way too sweet..
Kimchi
Wasabi too..
Pyongyang naengmyeon..
The clam broth is spicy.. and the more broth I added, the spicier it got..
The noodles
I now fully understand that this place’s naengmyeon is new-generation, and that I’m old-generation. I suppose it’s a taste that would appeal to the young crowd that flocks to Yeonnam-dong.
I guess I’ve reached the age where eating whatever young people call delicious just wrecks my stomach and leaves me unable to work or sleep, so I’d better stick to old-guy restaurants.. or Western places that serve wine..
