In the hot summer of 2018, in the middle of my naengmyeon tour, I heard that Eonjuok, despite being a gomtang specialist, serves a good naengmyeon, so I went to check it out.

Eonjuok

It’s near Ililhyang.

Naengmyeon

It’s an approachable kind of flavor. The meat broth is well made, and the toppings and noodles cover the basics. The style is different from the famous naengmyeon houses, but if it tastes this good, I couldn’t ask for more.

The naengmyeon was so satisfying that I stopped by again to try the gomtang.

Gomtang

Compared to the truly great places it may fall a little short, but considering it’s open 24 hours, plus the price and what’s in the bowl, it’s a thoroughly satisfying bowl. When a place does this well, there’s nothing to complain about.

About halfway through I poured in some kkakdugi juice and finished it off. A decent restaurant.
