Gogiri Makguksu used to be called Gogiri Jangwon Makguksu, but they changed the name. I kept hearing how good it was, so I finally went.
The place
They hand out numbered tickets. Never thought I’d see a line like this deep in the hills..
The place..
Quiet, calm atmosphere.
Noodle water
Any proper noodle shop ought to serve the noodle water, of course.
Perilla oil makguksu
The perilla oil hits you right away, and it’s seriously good. It felt almost like an aglio e olio. Lots of places do perilla oil makguksu these days, and I suspect this shop deserves the credit for that.
The only regret is that I went alone and could only manage one bowl. Should have put together a party of four or so.. But then, coming to a place like this alone, that’s about what you get..
White kimchi
Yum..
Well fed, I walked down along the valley.

Great noodles and a nice walk on top. An excellent little outing.
