To start from the beginning… I went to a cinema in Hibiya to see Avengers: Infinity War…
And a Tim Ho Wan had opened there… Even at night the line was ridiculously long…
Tim Ho Wan is a dim sum place from Hong Kong. Supposedly the cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant or something… Anyway, the movie was the main event that day, so I just walked past.

As you know, you come out of a movie feeling pretty empty inside… I thought about grabbing something to eat before heading home.
A back street in Ginza…
One place came to mind: an udon shop. Open late, cheap, and you can adjust the portion size…

I walk past this place all the time, but at lunch it’s so crowded I never thought of going in… In the evening it’s quiet.

The shop is pretty shabby, but the udon is good.
The noodles
The noodles almost seem to glow… Even in Sanuki, the home of udon, I doubt it would be easy to find one tastier than this…
