There’s a bar in Gyodae where the middle-aged guys gather. The name is simple too: Jjigaejib, which just means “stew house.”

Winter means oysters. We ordered the jeon and everything else too. Did we finish it all? Well… we did leave some. Kind of wish we’d taken it home…

Whole-pork kimchi jjigae

This is the house specialty, and it comes in a huge washbasin-sized metal bowl. There isn’t much kimchi in it, but the meat, cut and dropped in fresh, is really good. A perfect spot for round two of a guys’ night out.
