I’d heard there was a place in Omotesando specializing in authentic crêpes and galettes, so I went to check it out.
This is the place…
Since it caters to tourists, there was a line during the day. Maybe because it’s right by Harajuku, high school and college girls made up an overwhelming share of the crowd… and plenty of Westerners come too.
Cider
I wasn’t expecting it to come in a bowl, but it tasted fine. It was Val de Rance, an organic cidre.
Galette
It’s something like a Korean memil jeonbyeong (buckwheat crêpe), but it tastes like a very refined omelette. I’m not particularly fond of omelettes, so it was just okay for me.
Crêpe
This was genuinely delicious. I’ve never been to Brittany, so I can’t say how it compares, but as a dessert this is quite a high level. If I ever come back, I’ll probably just order two crêpes…
