Sakanatei in Shinbashi is a place with a long line at lunchtime.
It looks like this..
It’s in a basement and so cramped that shoulders bump. The crowd seems to be about 95% middle-aged salarymen..
I had no idea an alley this narrow was tucked inside Shinbashi Station..
Sashimi
The freshness is decent.
Ara-ni (simmered fish trimmings)
There are a lot of bones so picking the meat off is a bit of a chore, but the portion is enormous. For a big eater like me, this is exactly the kind of place I need.. It’s been a while since I found a good spot like this.
