I went to a gomtang place with an extremely simple name. It is in the shopping arcade of the Raemian apartment complex in Mapo.. and the problem is that it is not exactly an easy spot to get to.
The sign
The name seems to be “Gomtang · Suyuk Specialist”? or something like that.. and searching for that to find the place is not easy at all.
Gomtang
I think it is a bit better than Hadongkwan, both in portion and in taste.. though I do wonder how it would have been if the broth were a little hotter.
Dadaegi and kimchi
I ate very well. I just hope business goes well enough for them to open a branch somewhere easier to get to..
